About YNET 2012

Here’s a summary of YNET 2012:

Bible Teaching

A core value of YNET is faithfulness to God’s Word. Each year our goal is to have a trustworthy, dynamic communicator of God’s Word challenge and encourage us to be growing in our likeness to Christ. Our intent is that this person will also be someone who has “runs on the board” in Youth ministry.

Our speaker for 2012 certainly fits the bill.

Graham Stanton is Principal of the Youthworks College in Sydney, and has years of experience in training people for ministry to young people.

Electives

YNET electives give you the practical training and theological underpinning that is needed for ministering to young people. Core electives will be available each year and other YNET electives will vary from year to year.

Electives for 2012 are available on the Elective Information Page.

Iron Sharps Iron

Part of the benefit of the YNET conference is that you get to network with youth leaders from other churches who are involved in similar ministries. Using guided conversation starters, this session provides an informal discussion time with the aim that through shared experience leaders help one another develop effective strategies on dealing with a wide range of issues.

Team Time

In this session leaders from your church and/or ministry team will get together and talk about the things they are learning at YNET and how they can apply when they get back home.

Travel Subsidy

We realise that the cost of travel to the YNET 2012 Conference at Mt Tamborine could potentially prohibit a number of churches from outside the SE corner from attending. To demonstrate to churches how important we believe it is for your children and youth ministry leadership teams to attend, we have funding approved to heavily subsidise travel costs.

This subsidy can only be applied for by Presbyterian Church of Queensland Sessions on behalf of their leaders.

Individual leaders can not apply.

Subsidy applications close on 31st March 2012

If you are eligible for this subsidy download the relevant application form below, then please return to:
