The 2011 Jumpstart Schoolies Camp was a great time!
It was the start of something new.
Forty-six school leavers from Cairns to the Gold Coast enjoyed a relaxed week on Stradbroke Island as real followers of Jesus. There was a genuine keenness to be oriented by God’s word as they entered the next phase of adult life. Ed Springer shared from Ecclesiastes on the fleeting nature of life and how we are called to live as dependant creatures, gratefully receiving the gifts God gives, and not grasping for gain. There was a genuine challenge to joyfully use the energy of youth for the glory of God’s name.
